The Davis Street Resource Recovery Complex in San Leandro was named San Leandro’s Innovation and Technology Leader by the Chamber of Commerce during an awards ceremony.
The complex is home to North America’s first Organics Material Resource Recovery Facility (OMRF), which can separate recyclables and organic material that was mistakenly left in the trash. The complex is also home to solar panels, a natural gas fueling station and a WM EarthCare landscaping center.
