To help residents with household clean-ups and reduce illegal dumping, the Lockwood Landfill works with Reno, Sparks, Washoe County, and Storey County to offer a free dump week each year around Earth Day. Details and dates vary annually, so please check local municipal websites and WM’s channels for updated information each April.

Lunch at the Landfill
Every year the Lockwood Landfill staff hosts a BBQ lunch for the residents of Lockwood, Nevada. The guests enjoy local food, take tours of the facility and interact with the employees. It is an event the community and employees look forward to each year.
